On Friday, Aug. 12, Nadirah Dance Company presents “Ancient Echoes, Modern Rhythms,” a unique dance show that represents many styles of bellydance and other styles of dance as well. While holding true to the roots of the traditional, the show also embraces the influences from every avenue: old/new, east/west, traditional/contemporary.
Featured are the BellyJewels, who appear in Nadirah Dance Company’s Shows regularly, plus some surprise guest appearances that should engage and delight audiences.
Metamorphosis, Nadirah Dance Company’s professional troupe will perform, as well as En-Trance, a group from the Charlotte area. There will be a live drumming number, and plus live music during the intermission.
The doors open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 7:30 at the Looking Glass Artist Collective, 405 N. Lee St. (Corner of Kerr). Admission is $10.
