SALISBURY — A former North Rowan High school teacher who pleaded guilty last year to having sex with students violated his probation when he was in possession of pornographic material, court records said.
Matthew Miles Price, 30, of Spencer, violated the terms of the sex offender control program, specifically, he was not to possess sexually stimulating or sexually oriented materials, but had a picture on his cell phone of himself having sex with a woman.
Price is also not to use, possess, distribute or exchange pornography.
Court records show he sent the picture of him and the woman having sex to someone in his phone’s contact list.
A probation officer discovered the material during a warrantless search.
Documents said Price violated his probation in early July and is scheduled to appear in court next week.
