SALISBURY — The J.C. Price American Legion Post 107 members and auxiliary adopted a community and cleaned up streets recently behind Wilco Hess on East Innes Street as part of the city’s Adopt-a-Street program.
The Salisbury Community Appearance Commission sponsors the program.
Post 107 members who participated were Commander O. Mae Carroll, Gary Hall, Daniel Haddock, John Woods, Elijah Carraway and Leonard Hall. Auxiliary members were Terry Love and Debra Turnbull. Jaquan Clark also took part. The volunteers distributed Appearance Commission pamphlets and placed them in mailboxes along the route. The auxiliary previously picked up trash in the Institute Street area.
