A body was found in a car sometime early this morning after a motorist spotted the vehicle had gone off the roadway along Mount Hope Church Road.
The car crashed into a creek and was discovered about 6:30 a.m., although the wreck may have occurred sometime overnight.
The N.C. Highway Patrol is investigating this as an accident. No other details were available. Check back later for more information.
