Higher temps bring poor air quality

After a brief break of good or moderate air days, the air quality for Tuesday and Wednesday is again expected to be Code Orange, unhealthy for sensitive groups.
An open burning ban is in effect for the Charlotte area, including Rowan, Cabarrus, Mecklenburg, part of Iredell, Gaston, Lincoln and Union counties.
The elderly, children and people with heart or respiratory disease should limit outdoor activity.
The forecast high will be around 97 degrees both Tuesday and Wednesday.
