Kannapolis Intimidators host Recycling Night

KANNAPOLIS ó The City of Kannapolis presents Recycling Night at Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium on Friday.
The Kannapolis Intimidators take on the Delmarva Shorebirds at 7:05 p.m. with recycling contests and gifts from Kannapolis Recycles throughout the evening.
The Kannapolis Environmental Stewardship Commission will be on hand to answer questions about the new curbside recycling program and sustainability initiatives.
The North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources Recycle Guy is scheduled to make a special appearance with the Intimidatorís mascot, Tim E. Gator.
Recycling will be the theme for the eveningís fan games on the field. Throughout the game, prizes will be given to those who can answer recycling questions.
Residents who received yellow schedule magnets can turn them in at the gate for free admission to the game. Yellow magnets can also be turned in at the Village Park Splash Pad and Rotary Express for one free admission. through August 23.
