SPENCER — Saturday, July 23, the Green Goat Gallery will kick off its fourth annual folk art show, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” with a wine-and-cheese reception from 5-7 p.m. which is open to the public.
Featuring a foursome of artists including Mary Alexander, Carol Dunkley, Denny Maloney and Sharon Stike, this year’s event features a collection of vivid paintings and pastels, vintage style enamel metalwork, and cool recycled bottle cap and copper jewelry.
What would a Midsummer Night’s Dream be without fairies? Denny Maloney, also a veteran of the southeast folk art circuit, creates marvelous shimmering mermaids and fairies galore.
