SALISBURY — Worried about kids who don’t have enough to eat, hair dresser Carol Arnold decided to forgo tips this month in lieu of food donations to Rowan Helping Ministries.
Soon, boxes of macaroni and cheese and cans of veggies were spilling from a container in the lobby at Just Hair on Arlington Street.
Four stylists plan to make weekly donations at RHM throughout July, the slowest month for contributions to the food pantry.
Just Hair has challenged other salons to do the same.
