Drivers and passengers escaped injury in a head-on collision Thursday night at the intersection of Sherrills Ford Road and N.C. 150.
Communicators reported multiple calls about the accident just after 10:20 p.m. that left a yellow Dodge Neon in the roadway and a burgundy four-door Hyundai off the road in the trees as rescue crews made their way to the scene. One of the vehicles plowed over a fire hydrant, but a Locke Fire Department official confirmed no one was seriously injured.
