ROCKWELL ó Two people face multiple drug charges following an undercover investigation involving the Rowan County Sheriffís Office and Salisbury Police Department.
Anson Tyler Phillips, 19, of 250 Large Ave., is charged with two counts of possession with intent to sell and distribute marijuana, selling and delivering marijuana, conspiring to sell a controlled substance and maintaining a dwelling to keep, store and sell a controlled substance, all felonies; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.
Jordan Robert Pendergrapft, 19, also of 250 Large Ave., is charged with three counts of possession with intent to sell and distribute marijuana, two counts of selling and delivering marijuana, conspiring to sell a controlled substance, possession with intent to sell and distribute steroids and maintaining a dwelling to keep, store and sell a controlled substance, all felonies; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.
The Rowan County Sheriffís Office began investigating after receiving complaints in early June that the residents at 250 Large Ave. were selling drugs from the house. Detectives with the departmentís Special Investigations Unit made undercover purchases of marijuana from the residents, a press release said. The Salisbury Police Departmentís Vice Unit joined in the investigation and undercover detectives bought marijuana from another person at the home, the press release said.
On Thursday detectives from both agencies executed a search warrant at the house. During the search, investigators seized approximately 1.5 ounces of marijuana, 30 units of illegal steroids packaged for sale, three firearms and $450 in cash, according to the press release.
Authorities were booking Phillips and Pendergrapft Thursday evening. Their bonds were not available.
