SALISBURY — The Rowan-Salisbury Board of Education has voted unanimously to ask Rowan County commissioner to approve a lease-purchase agreement for a school system central office in downtown Salisbury.
Barwick & Associates, a Charlotte firm, would build the central office on Main Street and presented a plan to the school board at a meeting this evening.
The project’s total cost is projected at $8.6 million. That would be reduced to $6.9 million with $1.5 million in tax credits and a $200,000 school board option fee.
