CLEVELAND – A Woodleaf woman faces a felony drug charge after going to jail Monday with a pill hidden in her bra.
The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office responded to a disturbance around 12:15 p.m. Monday at 9330 Statesville Blvd. in Cleveland.
Christie Michelle Myers, 22, had come back to the home after being told multiple times to stay away, homeowner Delores Waller told deputies.
According to the sheriff’s office report, the homeowner is the mother of Myers’ estranged husband, Dustin Waller, who also lives at the Cleveland address.
When the man told Myers to leave, she bit him on the right forearm, the sheriff’s office said.
The deputy who responded to the scene arrested Myers and reported finding a smoking pipe commonly used for crack cocaine in her possession.
Myers was charged with simple assault, second degree tresspassing and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center with no bond pending a hearing.
When Myers was searched more thoroughly at the jail, authorities reported finding a small yellow pill in her bra.
She was then given an additional charge of felony possession of a controlled substance – acetaminophen and hydrocodone – on jail premises and a $1,000 bond.
