SALISBURY — A woman pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter this morning in the Oct. 24, 2005, shooting death of her ex-husband.
Elizabeth C. Myers had been charged with murder in the killing of Edward Eugene Shepherd,
Investigators said Myers shot Shepherd to death inside her home at 369 Fisherman’s Lane.
After entering her plea, Myers was sentenced in Rowan County Superior Court to between 13 and 16 months in prison. She received credit for about six months spent in the Rowan County jail.
