YMCA sports
Boys summer basketball Registration will run until July 15. This league aims to help improve skills in the off season and create new ones for up and coming players. Skill night will be held July 15 at the J.F. Hurley YMCA. If interested in coaching please contact YMCA Sports Director Phil Hilliard at 704-636-0111 or philliard@rowanymca.org.
Local golf
The Corbin Hills Ladies Golf Association played in a NOSE’S event on June 28. 1st low gross was won by Beth Calhoun while Phyllis Durland and Ruth Bowles tied for second. Third went to Susan Morris, and Mary Seaford and Faye Cline tied for fourth. Gail Capone was fifth.
