SALISBURY ó Police say a 4-month-old child is doing fine after being briefly locked in a car Monday afternoon.
The infantís mother left her keys on the seat and closed the door, accidentally locking it, according the Salisbury Police Department.
She had just put the child in her parked vehicle at Salisbury Pediatrics, located at 129 Woodson St., as the two were leaving the doctorís office just before 5 p.m. Monday. The temperature reached 91 degrees that afternoon.
Salisbury police were called to the scene and an officer used a wedge to unlock the vehicle and get to the child after just a few minutes. Police say doctors at Salisbury Pediatrics checked out the infant and found no sign of harm.
