Several Rowan County players were announced as participants in the East-West All-Star football game that takes place July 20 in Greensboro.
West Rowan’s Trey Mashore and Davon Quarles were named to the West team after helping the Falcons to their third-straight state championship.
From Salisbury, quarterback John Knox was a selection after completing a career that included 47 touchdown passes.
North Rowan defensive lineman Javon Hargrave will also suit up for the West. A.L. Brown will send a pair, including wide receiver Teven Jones and linebacker Andrew Leslie.
Salisbury coach Joe Pinyan is head coach of the West team while A.L. Brown’s Todd Hagler will be an assistant.
