The East Spencer Fresh Air Market located at Henderson and North Long Street in East Spencer is open from 7-11 a.m. Saturdays.
June 18 was the opening day. Jack Gill had squash, sweet cabbage and other fresh produce.
James Funderburke sold peaches, watermelon, tomatoes and golden cantaloupe and very young and tender cucumbers.
Mary Young and daughter Lynn had jewelry, starter plants and baked goods, including cake and cookies.
There was something for everyone, including Charles Ramsey with his Hot Dogs-R- Us.
This was the official beginning of the Fresh Air Market. Things will be added each week, including corn, okra and a variety of tomatoes and sweet corn.
