SALISBURY ó The city has posted several job openings.
Although a rolling hiring freeze continues for nonessential positions, the city can fill jobs that are deemed necessary.
Salisbury is accepting applications for jobs including a lifeguard, recreation aide at Hallís Gym, two maintenance workers and an equipment operator.
The job postings close between July 8 and 15.

To help close a $2.7 million budget gap, the city recently eliminated 36 full-time positions, including four layoffs. Twenty-six employees have taken early retirement.
