SALISBURY — A China Grove man told Salisbury Police he was assaulted by three men, one of which had a boxcutter Tuesday.
Capt. Shelia Lingle said police were dispatched to the emergency department at Rowan Regional Medical Center in response to an assault that occurred earlier.
Jerrett Wilhite, 19, said he was sitting outside on his girlfriend’s porch off Standish Street when three black males pulled up in a purple Chevrolet Caprice.
Wilhite said the men approached him and began hitting him. One pulled out a boxcutter and cut him on the forearm.
He told police the men said “give us all you’ve got.”
Wilhite used a baseball bat to defend himself and the men left, Lingle said.
Wilhite was treated and released from the hospital.
There are no suspects in the case.
