Relay for Life of Rowan County is still working to reach its goal, and volunteers are hosting events to help in that effort.
Here’s what is upcoming:
• Tickled Pink Y’s Guys team will have a Relay Book Sale beginning today at the J. F. Hurley YMCA, 828 W. Jake Alexander Blvd., Salisbury.
During the sale, they will also accept already-read books as donations. The sale is scheduled to run through June 30.
Donations can be made at the front desk.
• The City of Salisbury Relay team will host a Relay Yard Sale on Saturday beginning at 8 a.m. at the City Park Building, 316 Lake Drive, Salisbury, rain or shine.
Spokeswoman Niki Castor lists just some of the items as video games, DVDs, musical instruments, baby items, toys, household items and name brand clothing, which so far fill a trailer and truck. Be sure to stop by and lend your support.

• Sports fans and gardeners are invited to visit a branch of F&M Bank to enter a Relay For Life drawing to be held the first week of July.
The first prize is four Carolina Panthers tickets (seats located in Section 130, Row 19, Seats 1-4).
The second prize is four Charlotte Bobcats tickets plus a parking pass.
The third prize is a work of yard art.
You do not have to be present at the drawing to win, and donation for each ticket is $1.
