Kannapolis: Officers seek scam suspect

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. — The Kannapolis Police Department is seeking information about a suspect wanted for 12 counts of obtaining property by false pretense.
Bejay Barber, 28, last known address of 1231 West Street, Kannapolis, is charged with scamming 12 victims out of money he said would be used for their children to join and participate in a drum and bugle corps.
Barber has black hair, brown eyes and is about 5’10” tall and weighs about 190 pounds.
