CHINA GROVE — Authorities say a China Grove man has been charged with taking indecent liberties with an 8-year-old child. After several weeks of investigating, police charged the man Thursday night.
Randall Darnell Tutterow, 65, is charged with felony first-degree statutory sex offense and felony indecent liberties with a child. He is in jail under a $100,000 bond and was to appear in court this morning.
The China Grove Police Department said an investigation began in early June after the girl’s father reported she had been the victim of an alleged sex offense that he said happened a month prior to making the report. Police said Tutterow was known to the family and had been a recent visitor to the home.
