COOLEEMEE — The Mill House Museum needs to be painted, have the masonry work finished and the plumbing hooked up. Faye Reeves of the Red Pig BBQ has teamed up with the Cooleemee Historical Association to host a benefit concert on the Zachary House grounds to raise money for the project, which will make this Davie County attraction the South’s only mill house museum that is fully functional.
On Saturday, June 18 from 6-10 p.m., the country band Night Train will give a benefit concert. Gate admission is $5 per person, and children under twelve get in free. Guests should bring lawn chairs, parking inside the gate is handicap-only.
Joey Shore, vice-president of the historical group, is emcee for the evening and will treat the crowd to a few newly composed songs.
