EAST SPENCER — An East Spencer man was arrested early Sunday in connection with a hit and run on Saturday night.
Timothy Corderius Sims, also known as “Monkey Boy,” was identified by a witness following a hit-and-run accident in the parking lot at 200 Grant St. in East Spencer.
East Spencer Police officers Renard Cuthbertson and Sgt. Jim Young responded to the accident on Saturday night at approximately 11:19 p.m.
They learned that a Chevrolet Caprice had run into a parked Dodge Caravan and knocked it into another parked vehicle. It was then that the witness named Sims.
About an hour later, police found the suspect vehicle at another apartment complex in East Spencer. Evidence was collected from the vehicle and it was confiscated. Sims was later arrest by Lt. Hal Triplett.
According to the report, this was the second time in a few weeks that the vehicle had been involved in a hit-and-run accident and the second arrest made by East Spencer Police.
