How night school turned things around

West Rowan senior Dennis Ijames is still shocked that he’ll be graduating Saturday.
He dropped out of school last fall, but decided to come back in the spring.
When things started to get tough again he thought about giving up altogether.
But then he heard about night school.
The school system launched the initiative in March to give struggling students a chance complete classes at night.
Students could take up to three courses through night school to either play catch-up or to supplement for classes during the day, when they might need to work to help their families.
Ijames said there’s no way he would have graduated without the program.
