Kannapolis getting recycling bins

Published 12:00 am Wednesday, June 8, 2011

Residents in Kannapolis began receiving their curbside recycling carts today. Carts will be delivered Monday through Saturday until all carts are delivered on or before June 25.
A city representative will be available during all deliveries to answer questions. Citywide curbside recycling pick up begins on July 1.
The 96-gallon, gray carts with yellow lids will be placed at the curb in front of homes. With the cart will be a packet of recycling information, including a calendar magnet indicating each resident’s recycling pick up day. Starting July 1, recyclables will be picked up every other week on the same day as garbage pick-up.
Residents who do not receive a cart by June 25 or who have questions about the recycling program should call the Public Works Office at 704-920-4200. For more information on the Kannapolis recycling program, visit www.cityofkannapolis.com/recycling.
