CHINA GROVE — Folks traveling on Old Beatty Ford Road this week between Organ Church Road and St. Stephens Church Road may want to choose another route, as crews with the N.C. Department of Transportation will be working on the road, closing it until Friday at 5 p.m.
Motorists should take the following detour routes to avoid the work zone:
•             Traveling from Organ Church Road: Take N.C. 152 to U.S. 52 and follow it back to Old Beatty Ford Road.
•             Traveling from St. Stevens Church Road: Take U.S. 52 to N.C. 152 and follow it back to Old Beatty Ford Road.
 
To ensure motorist safety, NCDOT encourages drivers to slow down and pay attention as they pass through the area.
