First Presbyterian Church of Salisbury will hold fifth Sunday services on May 29, beginning at 9 a.m. in the sanctuary with a service of Wholeness and Healing.
ěAre any among you sick? They should call for the elders of the church and have them pray over them, anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord.î James 5:14.
Childcare will be available at 8:45 a.m.
Sunday school begins at 10 a.m. in the educational building and at 11 a.m. in the sanctuary is the only worship service of the day.
At noon will be a congregational covered dish lunch in Lewis Hall.
White Rock AME Zion
The Missions Department of White Rock AME Zion Church will sponsor a Rainbow Tea today, May 28, at 5 p.m. at the Geneva I. Oglesby Community Center for a donation of $10. Dianne Wylie is Home Missions president and the Rev. Morgan Glenn is pastor.
Third Creek fundraiser
CLEVELAND ó Third Creek AME Zion Church will be selling Rev. Kentís barbecue dinners, sandwiches and by-the-pound starting at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 28. Call in orders to go at 704-278-2289 or eat in at the Glenn G. Grayson fellowship hall.

Lyerly Evangelical
ROCKWELL ó Lyerly Evangelical Church, 1320 Crescent Road, will observe the 100th episode of its TV ministry on May 29 at the 10:30 a.m. service. After the service, everyone is invited to have a piece of anniversary cake.
As an evangelistic outreach, the church began broadcasting its Sunday sermon on July 1, 2009. It airs every Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. on Cable Channel 19 in Rowan, Cabarrus and Stanly counties.

Antioch Baptist
GRANITE QUARRY ó Family and Friends Day at Antioch Baptist Church will be celebrated at Dan Nicholas Park, shelter number 3, on Sunday beginning at 11 a.m. After the service, lunch will be served.
Guest speaker will be Minister Linda Gibson, associate pastor of New Jerusalem Holiness Church of Cooleemee.
The Rev. Rickey Johnson is pastor of Antioch, which is located at 602 S. Salisbury Ave.
Second Presbyterian
Second Presbyterian, 732 Lincolnton Road, celebrates the sixth Sunday of Easter and Memorial Day with special organ music.
Guest organist Jeremy Krider will lead the congregation in traditional and patriotic hymns at the 11 a.m. worship service.
Krider graduated from East Rowan High School and from Catawba College with a degree in music. An accomplished clarinetist, pianist and organist, he served as organist at Second Presbyterian and later as organist and choir director. He is the son of Reba Krider and Curry Krider and his grandmother was organist at Trading Ford Baptist Church for many years before she died.
Mt. Zion Free Will
KANNAPOLIS ó Clinton Abernathey of China Grove will sing at the 11 a.m. morning service on May 29 at Mt. Zion Free Will Baptist Church at 517 Pleasant Ave., where the Rev. Walt Lyman serves as Pastor.
A meal will be served in the fellowship hall after the singing.
Erwin Temple
COOLEEMEE ó The Twelve Tribes of Israel program will be presented on Sunday, May 29 at 3 p.m., given by thhe Pastorís Aide Ministry of Erwin Temple. Various area churches will represent the Tribes and will be providing gospel singing throughout the program.

Deacons Alliance
The Rowan and Davie County Deacons Alliance will hold their fifth Sunday worship service on Sunday, May 29 at 4 p.m.
The Rev. John R. Bankhead Jr. of Jerusalem Baptist Church will speak. Solid Rock Church of God is located at 1004 Locke St. The Rev. Samuel A. Washington is host pastor.
Southside concert

Calvary Baptist
On Sunday evening, May 29 at 6 p.m., Calvary Baptist Church will host a Gospel singing in the auditorium. Those singing will be from Calvary Baptist Church and the entire service will consist of southern Gospel music.
David Connor, minister of music at Calvary, will be coordinating those who are singing which includes Janette Lomax, Diane Smith, Jerry and Teresa Koonts, Calvary Crossroads, and Dewayne and Kim Lambeth.

First Free Will
LANDIS ó First Free Will Baptist Church of Landis will be having a fifth Sunday night song service at 6 p.m. Sunday, May 29. The church is located at 414 Upright St. where the Rev. Allen Merrington serves as pastor.
Emmanuel Baptist
Emmanuel Baptist Church, 2300 Bringle Ferry Road, will welcome the singing group The Pioneers on Sunday night, May 29, for the fifth Sunday night singing.
The service starts at 6 p.m. and The Pioneers will sing for the entire service. A love offering received for them.
Pastor of Emmanuel is Eugene Sides and music director is Crystal Cornelison.
South China Grove
CHINA GROVE ó In celebration of Memorial Day and the freedoms we enjoy because of our veterans, South China Grove Church of God will host an outdoor Gospel Singing on Sunday evening, May 29 at 6:30 p.m.
Featured singers will be the family group Godís Child of Kannapolis. Refreshments will follow the service.

Discipleship Study at Neel Road Baptist
Neel Road Baptist Church is starting a new discipleship series called Christianity and Culture.The series will explore what the Bible says about some of the most controversial topics and current events in society today, including abortion, capital punishment and homosexuality.
The study begins Sunday, June 5 at 6:30 p.m. and continues weekly through Aug. 28. at 6:30 p.m. in the multipurpose room.
