Traffic stop results in drug charges

SALISBURY – Police say a Salisbury woman pulled over for loud music Wednesday ended up behind bars after marijuana was found in her car.
Lesha Letrice Jefferies, 24, of 804 S. Fulton St., Apt. A was charged with felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was given a $2,500 secured bond.
Salisbury police said Jefferies was pulled over around the 200 block of North Long Street around 9:30 Wednesday night, and the officer noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from the car.
When the officer searched the car a set of digital scales was found, along with a small bag of marijuana in the console and a larger bag in the car. A total of 31 grams of marijuana was found.
