Celebrating EMS Week

SALISBURY — EMS week is this week, and aside from Sunday’s kickoff event, emergency service personnel gathered in front of Walmart Wednesday, giving away information, freebies for adults and children and tours of emergency response vehicles.
On display was a brush truck and trailer from Woodleaf Fire Department, the Rowan Incident Command Unit bus, and ambulances from Rowan Rescue and Rowan EMS.
The event will go on until 3 p.m. today.
