SALISBURY — Tonight, Sheriff Kevin Auten will lose his blonde locks on stage at the Rowan County Fairgrounds for Relay For Life.
He’s exceeded his $5,000 goal that is in honor of one of his wife’s co-workers and friends, Stacy Beaver, who has breast cancer. He promised he would shave if the goal was met.
This morning he had received around $5,300 in donations.
Rowan County’s Relay for Life will be held all day and night at the Rowan County Fairgrounds on Julian Road.
