South Rowan High School will host an Advance Placement Symposium on Tuesday.
College professors, AP teachers, guidance counselors and college admissions experts will be on hand to provide information about the exams.
Principal Dr. Don Knox encouraged all parents to attend the event in a letter sent home by the school:
ěFirst, attending will give you a better understanding of what AP courses are available for your child and why it is important to take the class and pass the AP Exam with at least a 3, 4, or 5.
Second, you will be able to meet with South Rowan AP teachers and college professors to ask questions and see what college academic life is about.
Third, you will learn the financial benefits for your child taking some AP classes and passing the AP Exam with the college/university qualifying score.î
The event will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the school.
