Rowan Helping Ministries has put out an urgent call for food donations.
“We desperately need bags of dry beans and bags of rice,” said Cam Campbell, director of resource development and community relations, in an email to past volunteers and supporters. “We use these items for cooking in our soup kitchen …
“We can also use the small bags of rice and dry beans to give out in our food pantry.
“One last item, we are in need of cans of soup for our food pantry.”
Without the support of the community, Campbell said, Rowan Helping Ministries would not be able to help those in need.
Donations can be dropped off at Rowan Helping Ministries at 226 N. Long St.
