SALISBURY — A Lexington man was taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center following a fight at Cookout Friday night, and has since been released.
Police said Willie Clarence Peck, 23, was trying to break up a fight inside Cookout, and was hit in the head with a chair.
Peck was taken to Rowan Regional Medical Center and then transported to Baptist.
The case has been turned over to investigators with the police department.
