Studentís view: School on Good Friday a bad idea
I may be 8 years old but I have a very strong opinion of this subject. I donít think kids should have to go to school on this Good Friday because that is the day our savior died on the cross.
It doesnít make sense to me that they are making us go to school on Good Friday. I am very upset about it, and I think the Board of Education should re-consider about going to school on Good Friday. And if you think Iím just trying to get out of school, well, thatís a lie.
I am a Christian young lady and I believe we should honor God and be able to take this day off. This idea makes me very upset.

Fire napping controllers
I am currently working as a security guard. If I fall asleep on the job and something happens, I will be fired. In the last three months there have been at least five incidents of air traffic controllers falling asleep on the job. For some reason none of these government employees were fired.
Remember when that billion dollar satellite was lost in space because a NASA employee programmed it in feet and inches instead of the metric system? That government employee wasnít fired. Remember the drunken police officer who beat up the lady bartender because she wouldnít serve him any more alcohol? He wasnít fired. When a park ranger starts a ěcontrolledî fire that ends up burning hundreds of acres, he should be fired. When a police officer shoots and kills an unarmed innocent child, he should be fired.
Public servants shouldnít be allowed to get away with things that you and I canít get away with.
Government employees who do things that are illegal, unethical or just plain stupid should be fired.
