9-11 artifacts coming to Salisbury
Two steel beams from the World Trade Center are coming to Salisbury and will become permanent fixtures as part of the Salisbury-Rowan Firefighters Memorial on South Main Street.
Salisbury Fire Captain Mark Thompson and firefighter Chet Hedrick left Salisbury for Queens, N.Y., this morning, and will bring back the two 8-foot and 2,000 pound beams.
The beams will be available for public viewing later this year.
