McCrory to speak at Cabarrus meeting Monday

CONCORD — Former Charlotte mayor and potential 2012 gubernatorial candidate Pat McCrory will speak at the Cabarrus Republican Women meeting on Monday.
McCrory, a Catawba College graduate who frequently visits Salisbury, served seven terms as mayor of Charlotte. He was the Republican nominee for North Carolina governor in 2008 and is regarded a frontrunner for the nomination in 2012.
The meeting will be at The Village Church, 9280 U.S. 73, just West of Odell School Road. Registration and a social hour begins at 6 p.m. with the program starting at 7 p.m. The event is open to the public. All interested women and men are invited.

Meetings are typically held on the third Monday of each month and are open to the public. All Republican women are eligible for Cabarrus Republican Women active membership; Republican men can join as associate members.
