Motorcyclist killed in collision

A motorcyclist was killed when she collided with a trailer on Sherrill’s Ford Road this evening.
A trooper with the N.C. State Highway Patrol said the trailer was carrying a car that was to be delivered to 4905 Sherrill’s Ford Road. The driver of the SUV towing the trailer was backing into the driveway when the collision occurred about 8 p.m..
A section of the road in the 4900 block remains blocked. The woman’s name has not been disclosed as authorities are working to notify family members about the death.
