Northbound traffic on Interstate 85 was blocked from exiting at Jake Alexander Boulevard on Saturday evening because of a downed utility pole.
Salisbury Police say it took hours before utility crews could finish their work to get the northbound exit ramp reopened.
The pole was struck by a car that police say continued heading north on I-85.
Traffic on Jake Alexander Boulevard was rerouted at the intersection of Old Concord and Klumac roads.
