The Strongest Man at the Y will be held Saturday April 9th at the J.F. Hurley Family YMCA in Salisbury. This strongman contest is beginner friendly. Many of the competitors have never competed in the sport of strongman. There will be four weight classes and a 40 and over class.
Events will include atlas stones, dumbbell press, bus pull, sled push, and fingal fingers. Open practice days will be Tuesday and Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at the YMCA on Jake Alexander Boulevard. The winner in each class will be awarded $250. Entry fee is $25 if you preregister, or $35 the day of the contest.
