Prevent Child Abuse Rowan TGIF country/bluegrass fundraiser ó Friday: music, meal and motorcycle ride beginning 6 p.m., riders meet at S. Main St. Food Lion, China Grove, ride ends 7 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 110 W. Church St. Complete barbecue dinner served at 7 p.m. followed by raffle, deejay, dancing until 9 p.m. $10 per motorcycle rider or $5 per person. Registration at the door. Chicken ën dumpling benefit for Shepherd School, 4-7 p.m., Friday, takeout or dine-in, adult plates $6, childrenís plates, $3. Live music, door prizes. Tickets available from church members or at the door. Phone in orders: 704-664-7115 on the day of the dinner. Shepherd School receives 50% of proceeds to assist needy children in the community.
