Man sought in Sunday shooting

SALISBURY, NC — A warrant is out for the arrest of an East Spencer man wanted in the shooting of a Salisbury man on Sunday.
Salisbury Police are looking for Henry Lee Wilder Jr., 24.
The victim, Jerome Allison, 26, was shot in both legs, and hit in the mouth, causing severe injuries. Police report he was flown to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem and had surgery on both legs; his mouth was also wired shut.
According to the report, Allison was at 637 Linn Lane early Sunday when Wilder stopped by, and the two men began arguing. Police said the dispute was over a woman.
Wilder then pulled out a gun and shot Allison, the report said.
Allison was taken to Rowan Regional Medical Center by someone at the apartment, then flown to Baptist for his surgeries.
Wilder has been previously convicted of several charges of carrying a concealed weapon. He is wanted for felony assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.
