Two Erwin Middle School students were charged with the assault of a 13-year-old student following a Wednesday incident.
Sometime during the school day, two students, one a 15- year-old, held a pencil to the neck of a student and the other a 14-year-old punched that same student in the face, a report said.
The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office charged the 15-year-old with assault with a deadly weapon and the 14-year-old with simple assault.
The Post cannot report names of juveniles.
