Granite Quarry Elementary School students and families took a journey around the world at the third annual Multicultural Parade of Countries on March 3.
Students worked to become experts on various countries around the globe, decorating their halls with flags, ethnic symbols, native languages, cultural art and research on their respective lands.
During this experience, guests began their travels in the U.S. and then toured the school to have their passports stamped in Mexico, Greece, Japan, China, Thailand, Laos, Jamaica and Australia.
Along their journey, families had the opportunity to discuss the cultural differences among the various countries and sample a variety of ethnic cuisine at each stop.
The program allowed families to become more globally aware of the many cultures that shape the world and offered insight to the diversity of its people.
