Burns 60th Anniversary

John K. Burns and Virginia Smith Burns celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary March 2, 2011.
The Burns were married March 2, 1951, in New Orleans, La., and moved to Salisbury in 1963.
John retired from Rowan-Cabarrus Community College, and Virginia retired from First Baptist Church in Spencer.
The couple are members of First Baptist Church, Salisbury, and have four sons and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
