Man fatally stabbed in Spencer

A Spencer man has reportedly died after being stabbed early this morning.
Spencer Police say the stabbing occurred after a fight broke out at the home of Teshia Carr of 706 3rd Street just after 2 a.m.
41-year-old Charles Stanley Jackson, a male nicknamed “Bones” and a female were all reportedly involved in the fight.
According to a neighbor that wished to remain anonymous, Jackson cut or stabbed “Bones” and the female with his pocketknife,
The neighbor said that Jackson commonly goes by the nickname “Chop Chop,” and ever since she has known Jackson he has carried a pocketknife.
At some point during the altercation, Jackson was also stabbed.
Jackson then reportedly left the residence, walking to nearby Hudson Avenue.
According to a resident that lives on Hudson Avenue, Jackson knocked on the doors of two homes. The resident in the second home called 911, and Jackson was taken to Rowan Regional Medical Center where he later died from his injuries.
Carr told a Post reporter that  her memory of the incident is still foggy. “I don’t really know what happened myself,” she said. “Everything just happened so fast.”
As of 2:30 p.m. today, no arrests had been made, but police are looking for the man nicknamed “Bones”. Bones is a black male, but more details were not immediately available.
The Spencer Police Department is investigating the case with help from the S.B.I.
Police Chief Michael James has not yet released any names of others involved in the incident.

Chief James said further information may be released later today.
