Vanderbilt 81, Miss. St. 74
STARKVILLE, Miss. ó Jeffery Taylor scored 25 points and John Jenkins added 21 for Vanderbilt.
The Commodores (15-4, 3-2 Southeastern Conference) won at Humphrey Coliseum for the first time since 1993, breaking a streak of eight straight losses in Starkville. Vanderbilt trailed by as many as nine points, but used a 12-0 run late in the second half to recover for its third straight victory.
Vanderbilt led 77-74 with 20 seconds remaining when Taylor stole the ball in the press and dunked for the clinching basket. The 6-foot-7 junior was 9 of 18 from the field and had five rebounds, three steals and two assists.
Ravern Johnson scored 19 points for the Bulldogs (10-9, 2-3), who shot 26 of 58 (44.8 percent) from the field, including 8 of 29 on 3s (27.6 percent).
Indiana 52, Illinois 49
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. ó Jordan Hulls scored 12 of his 18 points in the second half, and Tom Pritchardís tip-in with 44.2 seconds left lifted Indiana to the upset.
The Hoosiers (11-10, 2-6 Big Ten) ended a 19-game losing streak against ranked opponents.
Mike Davis had 14 points for the Illini (14-7, 4-4), who have lost four of five.
The Hoosiers didnít score for the first 5:57 of the second half and didnít regain the lead until Hullsí 3-pointer with 7:36 left made it 41-39. His next 3 gave the Hoosiers a 46-42 lead with 5:01 to go, but the Illini scored seven straight points to make it 49-46 with 2:43 left.
Christian Watford then hit two free throws and Pritchardís tip-in gave Indiana a 50-49 lead. Hulls made two free throws and Illinois missed two 3s to end it.
Michigan 61, Mich. St. 57
EAST LANSING, Mich. ó Zack Novak scored 19 points and Stu Douglass made a big 3-pointer with 20 seconds left to lift Michigan.
The Wolverines (12-9, 2-6 Big Ten) had lost six straight games this season and 11 in a row at Michigan State.
The Spartans (12-8, 4-4) have lost three straight.
Michigan Stateís Kalin Lucas scored 27 points and Durrell Summers had 13 points and a season-high 10 rebounds.
Darius Morris had 17 points for the Wolverines, who made 10 of 21 3-pointers.
Novak matched a career high with six 3-pointers. Douglassí 3 from the right wing ó his only one in four attempts ó gave Michigan a 60-55 lead.
