The Salvation Army of Rowan County and Heartsong Church of Salisbury will partner to distribute winter clothing such as coats, sweaters, gloves and hats to those in need on Saturday.
The event will take place from 10 a.m.-1 p.m at the Salvation Army Family Store, 520 S. Main St.
“Even though the Red Kettles and Angel Trees have been placed in storage for the next ten months, the Salvation Army remains committed to serving those in need. When we’re able to partner with churches and organizations such as Heartsong, we are able to meet more of the need,” said Capt. Jason Smith of the Salvation Army.
The Salvation Army of Rowan County is a United Way member agency.
Winter clothing donations will be accepted at 520 S. Main St. or 620 Bringle Ferry Road, Salisbury and monetary donations will be accepted as well to purchase needed items.
