Movie enthusiast and former moviehouse manager Mike Cline sent these photographs of the Terrace Theatreís opening night May 29, 1969. A special guest that night was famed Salisbury actor Sidney Blackmer, the man smoking on the right in the vertical photograph. The new theaterís opening movie was ěWhere Eagles Dare,î starring Richard Burton and Clint Eastwood. The theater, which no longer exists, was located next to Towne Mall off East Innes Street and near Interstate 85.
