A road closure scheduled last week in downtown Kannapolis has been moved to this week due to last week’s adverse weather conditions. The closure is needed to perform repairs to a water line.
First Street between Ridge Avenue and Main Street will be closed beginning today at 8 a.m. and will stay closed through Friday.
Traffic will be allowed to exit Southern Avenue onto First Street to get back to Main Street. If there is inclement weather, the road will be closed the first available day after the weather has passed.
